Is any numbing gel any good for a tattoo?

I’m really bad with sharp scratchy pain but I really want to get this tattoo and I’ve wanted it sinse I turned 18 last year as it Meens alot to me. Have any of you tryed it or know of anyone that has? Thanks!

DO NOT use Vaseline on it, or other oils or grease on your tattoo. Instead, at this stage of healing, make sure you moisturize your tattoo. Use a non-perfumed, un-scented and light moisturizer like Lubriderm. If the itching is too great and you must scratch, give it a nice smack, but don’t scratch it. Otherwise it is down to self control and willpower!

Thanks! I’ve had a good few options for after care for it :) I was kind of meaning is there any good numbing gels to apply the area that’s getting the tattoo so that the potential pain is less?

Not only will a numbing gel not help the pain, it could cause infection.
