not sure if its infected..

ok um I got my lip piercing yesterday and it was fine 4 a lil but it got really swelled up and theres white stuff inside im not sureif its puss or what butt I took it out and put a stud like thing in to hold the hole because I dont want it to close but I cant get the ring back on bc my lip is big in the first place and with the swelling its even harder to put it on. im thinking of leaving it on for a week or so and see how it goes…

right now the best thing to do is take it out , let it heal then get it re peirced once its fully helaed you should have researched the peircing beforhand because a peircing is a wound the swelling was normal, it will be there foir around 3 days and puss (thr white stuff0 is your body trying to clean and hel your new wound taking it out after just getting it done has aggrivated the area and made it sweel more though its also prolonged the healing time and if you have something stupid like an earring stud in your lip all thats going to do is infect the are and probably disofm it if you keep it in for too long (by leaving an indent) it will also never heal if theres an earring stud in there so if there is and you cant pout the ring inn take the stud out, and once its fully helaed then decide if you want ti re-peirced otherwise if its a surgical steel labret in there thats probably fine to leave in however it would be best to go back to the (hopefully profesional) pweircer and /or a doctor to also get there advice on what you should do
