You might have an infection. Are you using a special antiseptic on it? You will need to be really carefull to keep it clean . mel x

well, I am trying to keep it clean… I had it done about a year ago and the same problem happened and I finally let it close. this is 2nd pierce and the same problem is there again but not as aggravated as last time.

I had sort of the same thing happen with mine. its like it never healed right. I had it in for about 6 months I cleaned it several times a day but it was always red and sore, and eventually formed a red bump on the side of the ring. even worse, the skin on the inside of my nose formed a big lump where it was trying to grow around the piercing. I eventually just took it out, the bump on the outside went away but I’ve still got a lump of skin inside my nose. for me, I decided it was just not worth the hassle, and took it out. a nose ring may look cool, but not if its swollen and red with a big bump on it!

it could be just an abscisse. its comun with nose and ear piercings. I’ve had the same problems. few things you can do to get rid of it:

3 times a day clean face with CLEAN cloths in hot water (hot compress)

you can also try tea tree oil 4-5 drops to 1/2 cup hot water, clean with Q-tip (also 3 times a day)

Epson salt 4-5 pieces of Epson salt to 1 cup hot water. also clean with q-tip 3x a day

Pillow trick put a large t-shirt ober your pillow. change surface every night.

Stay away from animals, caution with facial cleansers, soap, shampoo, conditioner and hair. (wash nose after showers or what ever)

and if its still there after 2-3 weeks I suggest you go see a tatto/ piercing parler near by. hope it gets better ! :)

Answer #5

Do a salt compress, it worked for me when I had the same thing.

Like, put half a tablespoon of salt in really warm water, and dip a cotton pad in it, and then leave it one the nose for like half an hour, it should bring all the pus out. :)
