Is it normal for my scalp to burn a little with hair dye, but it goes away?

Answer #1

Yes, is normal. It will burn while the chemicals are in contact with your scalp and then may feels irritated for awhile after you finish and after you rinse. If it continue for hours and into the next day then something is wrong.

Answer #2

It’s not normal actually. You may have a very sensitive scalp. Or you could be allergic to one of the ingredients. There were apparently people who died from touching up their roots because of a comment ingredient. So I recommend talking to your doctor or callin your local clinic and asking them about it. Good luck dear.

Well on the box, it says if a rash or irritation occurs, to stop using the product. So it’s not supposed to burn, but mine does sometimes. I’ve always used it anyway though.

I’ve burned a spot on my scalp before from using hair dye. Hurt like heck. If it burns so much that you cry, wash it off lol. My eyes were watering cause it burned so much, but I didn’t wash it off until it was time to do it. It resulted in a nasty, sore scab on my scalp the next morning :/

Answer #4

Yes very normal, get dye without amonia in it
