is it normal if I dont care if I die???

Answer #1

Simply a Rose to brighten your day,         And maybe lessen the cares in your way;         And also, too, to help you to know,         That in knowing you, many others grow!

  No, it isn’t normal.
You are at an age where hormones, emotions and even your brain are undergoing strong changes. It is natural to occasionally feel confused or depressed.

The best thing you can do is to talk to a counselor or therapist. Barring that, find someone you can communicate your emotions and thoughts with, sort of like a sounding board. Keeping your thoughts to yourself doesn’t help. If you can’t find someone around you then consider Fun Mailing someone on Fun Advice.

ehhh I dont think its normal. quite depressing actually. but my friend told me the other day that she isnt afraid of death because she feels there is no reason to live. so I suggest find a hobby that makes you feel wonderful about urself and hopefully you wont feel that way anymore =)

Answer #3

I would say it’s normal to say you don’t care, but it isn’t normal to really not care. If you really don’t care, I recommend seeking professional help - if you are not already.

Answer #4

well it depends. if you just dont care and you think you have nothing to live for then that is bad but if you are not worried about it because you know it will happen then that is good. living without the fear of death is good.

Answer #5

I don’t really care about dying, but I do enjoy life and want to live. If you’re the same then that’s fine, but otherwise, probably not.

katwoman - she’s 14, she smokes, drinks, SIs, and for some reason is asking about Vicodin (one wonders about pill abuse too). Obviously something is quite wrong here…

I honestly suggest you try and get help. I know it seems like you’re handling things now, but things spin out of control so quickly… and obviously these arent the best ways to deal with problems…

Answer #7

No, they’re not depressed. I think they’re saying it doesn’t bother them that they are goijng to die eventually and if that is true and I’m right, then I think they don’t care about it because they’re young and don’t need to think about it for a long time. I’m 54 years old and disabled so I do worry about it.

Also, a lot of people worry about what happens when they die and where they are going to go, etc.

I think it’s great not to have to worry about it. I don’t think it’s normal but not abnormal either, just a matter of being young and healthy.

no, this means your not satisfied with you life, or who you are this can also mean you have something like depression or an addiction to things that you use in order to escape everything, or as a release you should get some help, tell someone how you feel so they can offer you advice life is what you make it theres no reason to give up now, when youve got everything to live for id say start a hobby, do something you love, get a job, ect start making yourself feel useful and that youve accomplished something

Answer #9

depends on the reason.

do you not care because your depressed?

Or do you not care cause you know God will take care of you?

Answer #10

Normal is not quite the word to use. It may be an indication of depression…
