no idea what to do after high school

I am a junior and ok, I have to be totally honest- I have absolutely no idea what I want to pursue after high school as far as a career goes. I know that I am definitely going to college and everything but I just have no idea on what I want to be. I do like helping people with problems and such but my career future is kind of blank. I’ll take any advice or personal experiences on dealing with such an issue- anything will help! thanks!

Hi thanks for your advice , i did end up telling him , not quite as proffesional as the way you put it , just kinda blurted it out , he has not yet replyed , and as i see him at least 3 times a week , i feel he is not trying to get back at me by commenting on how beautiffull every woman is on tv , it dosnt bother me but i feel he is doing it on purpose , just wish i knew what to do , as he hasnt even replyed , i guess saying nothing is better than No, ???? Answer to your question , i am 22yrs old , and still do not know what i want to do , had lots of jobs , currently work as an insolvency practitioner , not what i ever thought id end up doing , but it bring me money and i can go out at weekends , so just do what makes you happy , enjoy being young one day the stars wont shine like they do now , everything will seem dim and your hair starts to go grey , so live your life to the full x take care hun x

Maybe you can do a careertest? Or you can ask your friends. I didn’t know what to become either, so I talked about it with my friends, and it turned out they all had quite the same idea about what I should become. First I thought, bullshit, but now I agree with them. Sometimes you’re friends know you better than you know you.

i’m a senior this year and i still have no idea what i want to be! don’t worry it’s normal. i have friends in college who still don’t know. just choose a college based on what you like (what you know you like so far) and as long as you choose a pretty general kind of college you will figure it out through the classes you take. when it comes to helping people with problems- are you interested in psychology or counselling? if your high school offers a psychology class you should consider taking it.
