No control over my money
My mom wont let me have control over my money in the bank…
I wanted to get something, but she said no, I told her that I would pay for it and everything! She said I cant even touch the money I’ve earned.
This makes me sooo sooo madd!! I don’t know what to do about it.
well if she put the account in your name then go there and tell them who you are and that you want some money out of your saveings…I reallly dont no what 2 tell ya…I got my own account and a different bank then my moms or my dads…srry
Next time you earn money, put it in the bank yourself so you can have access to your savings. just be wise in spending, though I know it is your money and you are free to do do whatever you want to do with it.
forget what she said. IT your MONEY! you WORK FOR IT!. IT your TO SPEND!. take it out. what can she do about it?. NOTHING! she didnt earn it. so she got no say so.
Well then just talk to her.
Tell her that I know that your trying to teach me how to handle money responsibly but how am a supposed to show you that I can if there’s no money involved?
And I’d say it calmly because if you don’t…that’s setting yourself up for a no.
At least she’ll see your willing to try and if you still says no there’s that possibility that it could be followed by an explanation.
Your mother obviously set up an account which requires her to take out money for you. This makes sense if the money you earned was through an allowance from your parents - they’re protecting your finances.
However, if this is money that you earned from your job outside the home, then that money is yours. If anything, she should ask for a percentage of each paycheck to be put into savings allowing you a portion of the money for yourself…see if you can’t make a deal with her.
It sounds to me like shes trying to teach you to handle your money wisely. If you prove to her you can she will provide you with more free freedom.
For me I aways put 10% of my money into savings, pay taxes, buy gas for my car, pay my weekly rent to my parents, and then either save for stuff I want or need.
Basically put needs over wants.
Over time my parents seen I could handle my money and it became a freedom as to what I do with it. There just trying to get you ready you for when you have a family.
its from my job, and I was planning on doing what you (matt) suggested, but she doesnt see that I guess.
alright.. wont be near as easy as you think. but ill give it a shot
well, I cant! I’ve tried they said I have to have a password or some kind of code. which, I dont have
