Answer #1

Open with a formal start, eg Principal, Teachers, Honored Guests.

Congratulate your fellow graduates.

Thanks, it can be good to get that in early. Heartfelt thanks to teachers, mentors, family and friends will get you off to a good start.

Middle, is where your theme comes into play. You rightly say you have to talk about the college and faculty. There are a few questions I would run through before deciding on my final material.

Are there strong values, written or unwritten? Is there a code of conduct? Are the standards very high and teaching staff excellent? What are the particular lessons learned from your time at college? Are there great stories from your time such as charity fundraising, teamwork or outstanding events? What about the great people you have met?

You could add some highly relevant quotes or poems in to the speech.

To be organised you could move the speech from looking at the past years, celebrating today and looking forward to a bright future.

End by summarising your points, congratulating everyone again and wishing them all the best for the future.

Hope this helps.
