New to Michigan

So I am moving to the suburbs of Detroit. So my question is what is there to do around here? How would you meet people if you have already graduated from high school? I mean I know it sound lame but I am going to miss my friends like crazy and will go insane unless I meet at least one person. So if you were new to a area how would you go about meeting people?

Could get involved in volunteer work, church groups, maybe take ballroom dance lessons, etc…just get out there !!

Welcome to Michigan! there’s plenty to do around the Suburbs. You could join parties, church groups, be active in a sport, things like that to get yourself out there to meet people. You’ll like it in the Suburbs. It’s quite nice. I used to live in the Suburbs of Detroit and to me, it was a fast pace area and some people were either snooty or just plain rude. Not everyone is like that though don’t get me wrong. I grew up in the Suburbs and graduated from Romeo High School. People in the Suburbs will welcome you and be kind to you so, don’t worry. Some people though can be rude so watch that. Just introduce yourself whenever you’re out and about and people will want to get to know you and where you’re from.
