New School...Help? Thanks!
Okay, I’m going to a new school next year, and I was wondering if anyone has advice on making new friends. Like, what should I do at lunch? Should I sit by myself or find a group and just barge in or move around different places or what?
OOOh this is a tuffy. My friend’s mmum makes her move like alll the time. So I have to deal with this quite a lot. Well I guess it does depend on your personalitly, I mean im the quite, shy, emo who is too scared to cut herself type so making friends is hard for me to… so I know how you feel, but I guess if you just be your self and let people c the real you then they will come to like u. It may not happen on the first day, or week even. Maybe you could bring a book to school and at lunch sit in a nice spot and read, then im sure some nice person will come up to you and want to get to know u. All it takes is one person, but make sure its the right crowd to. Hope that helps. Will
Don’t sit by yourself at lunch! Walk up to a group, introduce yourself and sit down with them. Make small talk and you will be surprised at how easy it is to make friends. Don’t go straight to the preppy kids or any other group for that matter. Try to make friends in every group. Especially don’t avoid the gothic kids (usually labeled “freaks”). These are usually the nicest, yet easily misunderstood kids there. They are also usually more open to new kids. Sam
