Nervous About Braces

I’m getting braces soon and im really nervous! could you please give me a bit of advice so I know more about whats going to happen. Cheers

It depends what sort of brace you’re getting. There’s fixed braces and ones that you can take out for meals and stuff. The actual brace makes your teeth sore for a few days, and it feels really weird for about two weeks. At first it’s kind of hard to eat as well, you’ll probably spend the first week or so just drinking soup and eating icecream :) After getting used to it, it should only hurt for a couple of days after getting them tightened up each time, although you might get loads of ulcers (like me!) which is really sore for a couple of weeks. I wouldn’t worry about it though, you’ll start noticing changes to your teeth really quickly.
