Define a person that is needy?

-Someone who calls you a million times in a row and leaves 10 voicemails. -Someone who can not do anything by theirselves, they have to have someone with them. -Someone who clings onto a person, when there is not chance of keeping them. -Someone who requires 24/7 attention -Someone who is desperate -Someone who can’t stay single because they feel lonely -A person with no confidence or self esteem

A person may be defined as needy for various reasons. It may not necessarily be physical, but can be mental or emotional, as well. A person who has lost everything during crisis, someone who has lost his loved ones, who doesn’t have appropriate resources to feed himself or his family, children who don’t have anyone to look after them or anyone who is in need of a friend or someone to express his feelings. All of them may be known as needy. There are several communities and organizations like Christian Life Assembly, Mercy Corps, etc. which aim to help such needy people so that they can make them feel better and make their situations favorable and worth living. Many consider it as a way to serve God and go closer to Him.
