What are the best products for curly, thick, frizzy hair?

I was wondering what is the best products out there for my type of hair; this includes mousse, hair spray, shampoos/conditioners, pomades, deep conditioners, serums and maybe more? You get the idea though lol. And is a flat iron really good for my hair, cause I was thinking of straightening it but don’t want to pay $300-600 for a chemical straightening treatment. Thanks. I would like something that would get rid of flyways and high humidity/static if possible. I am sorry I know this a lot to ask but I have really bad hair.

Hi!

I naturally used to have very curly/frizzy hair…for some reason after high school, it turned more wavy and tame.

When I had uncontrollable frizz (which was often, living in South Florida), I used a couple of products.

The first one is Aussie brand leave-in conditioner called “Hair Insurance”. It’s only a few dollars at your local drugstore. You spray it in after the shower and it helps moisturize your hair.

Then, I used a gel called Garnier Fructis Wet Shine Gel. You put it in when your hair is starting to dry (after the leave-in conditioner) and brush. Then I used a flat iron. It was perfect. (You can find the gel at your drugstore for fairly cheap as well.)

Good luck!

I have the same kind of hair and know exactly what you are dealing with, but I’ve worked out some ways on how to tame it. When your in the shower comb your hair with conditioner and get all the nots and tangles out, never brush it or comb it out of the shower on when its dry because that just makes it poof out at look like a massive uncontrollable afro lol. When you get out of the shower tie it up in a bun or in braids and let it dry naturally.

Then after its dry/semi dry get out your hairdryer and use in conjuction with a anti frizz serum and blow dry your hair straight ( its ok if its not fully straight, just so its not curly). after you blow dry it in sections you just use a anti-heat damage spray and go over it with a flat iron straightner and wollah :)

When your straightening it you can also comb it so your ends go straight aswell because sometimes they all knot together. You can also do your hair in sections, ie, blowdry a section then straighten it so it doesnt take as long instead of blowdrying the whole thing then coming back and straightening it lol

hope this helps ! :)
