native america

if america was not discovered or the native americans weren’t pushed out of their land, do you think that there would be different countries like Creek or Cheyenne? and spoke in their language? or do you think that they maybe would have formed one big country like today? I don’t know, I think its an intersting question.

Answer #1

When the Europeans and others found America, there were already what they would consider nations, although the borders were very loosely defined. The Natives may not have called them “countries” but the basic concept was the same. There is no reason to think that these would have disappeared.

Answer #2

I doubt they would have formed a country like today, they were not so eager to conqure as many of the other nations were. I think it would be much like African tribes, very small amount of influence from outsiders. However you also need to consider WW1 and WW2, America was a defining factor in those wars. Without America, many other countries would not have bothered with a revolution for a free society. We probably would have barely scraped by surviving the first world war, but probably not the second. Kind of a scary thought, say what you want about America but we were an overall force of good in the world.
