What's with NASA?

What’s with NASA? I think NASA is just a load of crap. They just talk crap but they can follow thorough. There are many examples of this NASA has been saying for decades that they will launch a probe to Europa, a cryobot, that will search the oceans looking for life. They put this as their highest priority but instead they say they can’t due to budget cuts. Europa is the only known place in our solar system with the potential possibiltiy of visible carbon based life that is perceivable with the human senses. Also NASA has pushed back the date for the Space Interferometry Mission. more than 5 times. THe SIM is a telescope that will be able to spot many Earh-like planets which as the Mission to Europa is likely to spot Advanced Civilizations. Now, NASA keeps saying that the budget cuts keep limiting and pushing back the mission. Every two years NASA has been pushing back SIM for like 4 years since 1998, and it is not even listed in the 2008 fisical budget meaning instead of happening in 2005 it won’t happen until much after 2016 and a manned probe to Europa until much after 2017 because they keep pushing back these projects although they give it the highest priority on their list. In addition to this they keep pushing back the date for the Terrestial Planet Finder a telescope that will look for Earth-like planets with the possibiltiy of advanced life. Project Longshot is also an example of an opportunity for an interstellar probe to reach Alpha Centarui in 50 years. NASA has done nothing to show that this will become a realtiy since the 1980’s. My personal opinion is that NASA is egotistic. They want people to think that humanity is the only life in the Universe although there is atleast 70 sextillion 7 times 10^22 or 70,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 other stars which does not include stars whose light has not reached the Earth yet or Stars that don’t emit enough light to be visible or stars that are farther out than the observable Universe. The Universe could be Boogolplex{Boogolplex} Boggolplexes of Gigaparsecs wide or even infinite yet, NASA says there is no life anywhere because they can’t see it. They haven’t even been to one planet yet they claim there is no life on planets hundreds of millions of miles away thousands of times bigger than Earth, and they don’t even try to look for life in places where it is likely such as Europa because they’re afraid that they will find life much more advanced than them and that will crush their ego. What are your views?

The government controls the cash $ that goes into space research. Our main objective, as humans, is to satisfy our personal needs first and then start doing the abstract. Currently, NASA and the Russians are working on a space program that will allow you to go to space for a really cheap price (A big metal rope connected to the earth from space, and the spaceship rotates around the earth with the same speed as earth, so it won’t break apart). This way we can go to space for much less money, and the second idea is to make a huge spring-like device on the moon that can catch spaceships from earth orbit. There is ice on the moon, and the H20 there could be used to produce rocket fuel. Since the moon has 1/4 of the Earth gravity, spacelaunches will be much more succesfull and chapear, plus you get the fuel from the moon. All of this was predicted by mediums (look for ‘’ Vanga ‘’ if you’re interested) and now we see the plans on Discovery. It will happen in 2012-2015, so we ge to see it :D . As for the Extra Terrestrial life, Vanga predicts (and this is not a joke; everything she said happened. You probably haven’t heard of her because the media didn’t want you to know) that in 2052 contact will be made with aliens in what is now Hungary. We won’t be seeing any Startrek soon. Our children, yeah. Lucky bastards ;)

NASA is a government agency. As such, don’t expect much.

You have to have a law degree to be an engineer for NASA. How many double majors do you know with both engineering and law degrees, who work for NASA instead of patent agencies?
