My rabbit is constipated, what can I do?

I change my rabbits litter every few days, it’s usually full of poop. Today I went to change it and there isn’t a piece of poop to be scene, she’s not eating either. I read online that constipation in a rabbit is usually fatal :(

What can I do to help her? She’s only ~9 months old.

Answer #1

thats really gross and upsetting she could hurt the poor thing!

Theres no way Im doing that anyways - my dad did some research and a page said to try milk. She went for the milk so hopefully that helps till I can call a vet Tuesday.

Answer #2

First call and Veterinarian and get their advice. I know that when infants are constipated doctors recommend you give them Karo Syrup. It should not harm the rabbit, but it is very sweet and full of sugar, so I would ask the Vet about that as well. Good Luck and I hope your rabbit is ok.
