I got him to a vet, He has a fever he is on meds, but other than that… he should be ok :)

You better figure out a way to get him into a carrier and take him to the Vets. A huge change of personality in any animal (or person for that matter), demands medical attention.

Sounds like your cat has some sort of injury. It may be injurred internally so dont assume it is just its tail.

Get him to a vet asap.

could be scared… my cat does this when another cat gets too close (the hissing and raised fur is to make him look bigger and scare off threats)… or someone could have hurt him… or he could be sick. Generally when a cat is hissing and yowling, picking it up is not the smartest move… give him some time to chill out, and then just sit with him for a bit and let him calm down in your presence before trying to get him into a carrier which hes not going to like

that’s good, my stupid cat gave herself a fever after she got in a fight (and then came the hissing and the raised hair). She was fine though. Enough to give me a hard time with the meds! good luck with that!
