Curly hair without the poof?

I have curly hair, I love it, its fun etc etc— if your hair keeps poofing up try:

1. don’t towel dry your hair EVER - when you come out of the shower just slightly press the water out with your hands. the towel just causes friction and frizz

2. don’t use cheap products–they will dehydrate the curls and make them look bad (aka 99 cent store products).

3)after you wash your hair put in curling mouse-found in your local pharmacy (Tresseme Curling Mouse ~$4 is good) use while your hair is damp but not dripping wet

4. invest in good HAIR lotion (I use Aveda Be Curly- Curl Enhancer $20) it works

5. crunch the curls in your hair while you do 3 and 4

6. don’t touch them until they are dry!

Remember that curls need a little more attention since all the waves don’t let all the nutrients and oils get to the ends of the hair faster- also, don’t let people run their fingers through your hair while its dry and you want to conserve a neat curl look- they are breaking up the sections and that gives a messy look

p.s. I dont know if this is the “spanishy type” you mean…but Im Ecuadorian and this works for my hair…
