ablackguy_420 ::: YES I do keep my dogs inside I have a black lab and a pitbull. The pitbull is like 80 pounds! If you want to keep your dogs outside, that’s u… But that’s why certain places are taking dogs who are chained outside…

ok vachick08 a child and a pet are to totally different things. some dogs love the outdoors more because they get to roam freely would you really keep a 50lb or up dog inside.

Answer #3

Are you keeping him outside? My shelter won’t adopt “outside” dogs. It’s unhealthy for them to be isolated, and also they go nuts with boredom.

Well first of all I have a four year old beagle named jack and have been training dogs for many ,many years now ..My first question is is the dog an out side dog .My second question is is you dog abused verbally or physically? (by a child you or husband). You must under stand that it is in the breed to sniff and to invesagate they are VERY hyper and energetic breed that NEED”S a job whether it be walkin down the road fetching or chasing a chil…THis is the perfect example of why you should research a breed befor getting it…PLEASE WRITE ME BACK I MAY BE ABLE TO HELP YOU

Answer #5

It could be he’s not fixed and running away to the next female sent that wafts by his nose. Dogs are just eaters and breeders. If he aint fixed he will run every time he smells a female in heat. Just my 2cents.

Answer #6

He is bred to hunt…nose to ground…on the trail of who knows what (Bassetts are just as bad). If you check out Beagles in any breed book, the number one thing they will tell you…DO NOT allow this breed to run, as you many never see them again. They follow any scent that they come across…he’s not running away…he’s running TO something…

This isn’t unique to the hounds, many dogs will get onto a scent and follow…it just seems that with the their ultra-abilities to do scent work, they never seem to find their way home again.

He’s not being BAD…he’s being a BEAGLE.

Better Micro Chip him and make sure you have your information on his collar. I have a dog that darts for the door everytime it opens, so I put him on a leash that is secured by my coffee table (it;s really heavy) anyway since I started doing this and after he ran for the door and was yanked short by the leash, he has stopped running for the door. BUT I still leash him if people are going in and out the door

It is pretty cool because rather he is on the leash or not he only goes as far as the leash would let him to the front door.

Answer #8

I don’t like people keeping their dogs outside! I think it is sooo sad. Those dogs look so sad and pitiful. All of my dogs I’ve ever had live in the house and go outside when they feel like it. you wouldn’t keep your child outside would u? The reason he doesn’t listen is probably because nobody spends any time teachin him anything. And maybe he doesn’t like his life outside so he’s running away

Answer #9

call Cesar Milian the dog whisperer.

Answer #10
