My Dog

Ok I have a male pitbull and my mom wants to get another dog she wants to get something small…dont you think the pitbull would kill it?? And im not gettin rid of him

Answer #1

It doesn’t matter how big your dog is…what matters is his disposition…Within EVERY breed, personalities and dispositions vary…How is he with other dogs, now? Many Pits live easily with other dogs and even cats…

As Utopia says…there will be more likelihood of trouble if he isn’t neutered…and as anonymous says…a female would be the best choice.

If you have properly socialized your pit AND if you take the time to slowly introduce them to each other, things should be fine

but if he is not neutered, then you might have a big problem. Just the fact that you think your pit will kill a smaller dog shows that you are not an informed pit owner and have probably not raised him in the best way possible.

It is the owner, not the breed.

Any two dogs when introduced might have problems, especially if not neutered and not properly socialized.
