My dad

Ok, my dad is very old and I’m worried he wont survive until I graduate high school or even get to see me live my life. He’s 70. I know that’s really old so dont bash him, because he’s like my best friend. He smoked for 30 years and was on the fire department for longer. He works full time so his stress levels always high and on top of it all my family cant afford to have him retire. He just was in the hospitol for 1 week at a high risk for a heart attack and I’m really afraid. What should I do?

Answer #1

My mom passed away when I was 15 and it sucked big time. Don’t worry. you r really never prepared for the death of your parents. Death is another part of life and you have to realize that nobody lives forever. Hopefully he can make it to see you graduate. But always accept death because you will go crazy if you dont

Answer #2

PRAY TO GOD! even if you dont go to church or believe in God just pray trust me and leave it to him because he is the one giving him life and strenght right now ok so yea PRAY

Answer #3

spend as much time with him as possible!! my nana is about to die herself and thats what I try to do!! my mother and I arent on real speaking terms and we still fake it to see her!! you just need to make him know he is loved and will always will be loved!! do anything he wants and just be there for him NO matter what

Answer #4

Enjoy your time NOW - make good memories - make sure he knows how you admire and love him - none of us are guaranteed tomorrow…Take care !!

Answer #5

relax. I’m not going to sugar coat this, your dad is going to die. we all do eventually. but dont think it’ll be anytime soon, a lot of people live well into their ninties. and freaking out every minute is going to make it all worse and when he finally does go you’ll feel like you wasted the time you had with him worrying. if he’s 70 and a fire fighter, he’s one tough cookie and I wouldn’t freak out about it too much. tell him to relax a little more, take a day off. people survive heart attacks and can still be healthy.

Answer #6

spend time with him and make his last days happy days
