Here you go

http://www.havehappydogs.com/teaching-your-dog-to-walk-to-heel/

The heel position is next to your left dog, with your dog’s close to your left knee. You should be able to link this command to others, such as ’sit’ or ‘down’. If you have more than one dog, they obviously won’t be able to walk with you in this position and it is usually the more dominant dog that will try to get there first. The other dog will then make do with walking close to your right leg. Going along with this arrangement should make it much easier to control the dogs.

TRAINING Heel position

  1. With your dog standing in front of you and slightly to your left, hold out a treat towards his nose.

  2. Take a step back with your left leg and use the treat to lure the dog in an arc around you, until his nose is just behind your left leg. Aim for him to step his hindlegs to the right and as soon as he does, click.

  3. Now bring your feet together and lure your dog forward in line with your knee. When he is standing in the correct position, give him the treat.

  4. Stand in front of your dog and repeat the exercise. As he begins to understand, you can build in a verbal command such as ‘dose’ or ‘heel’.

  5. Practice this on both sides but mark each position with a different command, perhaps using ‘close’ for the left side and ‘heel’ for the right side.

my dog is that breed and we got him a harnis were it goes round the legs as he was pulling hard (got one from the pet shop I work in) this helps you controle the dog more when he is walking and when he palls he/she will not find it as easy and it is eayer to hold there streanths and then can be strong for how small they are also the harness is good for the dog and it is cinder on the neack

hope that helps good luck

also maybe takeing mini treats out with you like small dry dog food just a copple show them what you have befor walking them and they should know and if they are being good treat them but save them for the walk around and if they dont first time then dont give the treat so they learn

please add me I am new to this and so dont know anyone good luck =D

Pulling what?? Barking comes pretty natural to a dog…when do they do all this barking?? Give me some details, and I’ll see what I can pull out of my hat.

You know, you need to spend a little money and go to doggie school. Get these dogs in classes and learn to control them. Everyone loves a well trained dog, nobody loves a untrained dog. This is how dogs thousands of dogs end up in shelters every year. Pet owners should be required to go to puppy kindergarten.

Get a professional to help you train these beautiful dogs. Classes aren’t that much. DO IT AND DO IT NOW! Before you get fed up with these naughty dogs and want to get rid of them and that is not their fault it is yours.

These dogs are in control and you have lost control of your pets. They are not protecting they are running the house.

Good luck andre’

Good for you, call around. Vet’s sometimes offer them or recommend one. If you have a Petsmart I understand they have a wonderful training program.

It is a wise investment to train your dogs. You can take one and then pass the training you learn on to the others.

You can also visit your local library and find many books on training your dogs, but you sure don’t want to have them chew up the books :)

I also think you are holding your leash wrong. Do you have it in your right hand passing across to your left and the dog healing on the left?

Also working working and working with your dogs is the best way to break bad habits.

Good luck you you. So glad to hear you love them and want to find a solution to your situation. Andre’
