My Cat!

Ok my cat just got spayed and I was wondering if she should be liking the stitches? just wondering I guess…

Answer #1

No, it increases the risk of infection and since she is from the feline family, she has a rough tongue. You should probably get an Elizabethan collar, just in case she happens to rip the stitches and such.

Answer #2

NO…call the Vet and see if they have Elizabethan collars for cats (or at least where to find one)…the next step after “licking” them is “chewing” them…the chances for infection go way up, when they don’t leave the incision alone.

thats normal for her to lick the stitched, as long as she isnt chewing or pulling on them…she is just tending to her “wound”…

Answer #4

No she should not be licking them at all. Call the vet and get a e-collar or keep her from doing it.

Answer #5
