My brace?

I got a brace 3 days ago and its stopped aching so much, but the metal bit right at the end tooth on one side of my cheek is rubbing so much.

I’ve put the wax on it and it doesn’t really help because I’ve got a blistery type thing there.

Anyone help?

Oh yeah, and does anyone else who had a brace find it hard to eat for the first few days? It feels horrible whenever I eat something and I’m beginning to dread meal times for the fact it feels just not nice at all.

Maybe you shoulld ask your dentist if this is normal. If it’s not, he may be able to help.

Answer #2

go to your local grocery store and they should have wax for braces in the toothbrush/toothpaste aisle. you just stick them on the parts that jut out so that they won’t hurt you. don’t rely on this forever, though, tell your dentist or orthodontist that it’s bothering you and have them do something about it!

I have braces and mine did ache for a couple of days but you eventually get used to it.

The metal bit that is rubbing on your cheek is probably too long, ask your dentist about it as see if he/she can get it cut shorter.

And yes, it was quite unconfortable to eat at first, but you do get used to it
