My boyfriend and I don't have sex anymore

My boyfriend and I always had great sex and a lot of it. He got a dui and I bailed him out of jail. Ever sense that night our sex life stopped. We live together and in the last 5 months we have not had sex, but 3 or 4 times. He is kisses me through the day and holds me at night. He swears it is not me and he can see spending the rest of his life with me. We are best friends and get along great. We never argue. I really don’t feel like he is cheating on me. He says that sex is not important to him, but I crave his touch and intimacy. He just is not interested in sex. What can I do? I love him and I don’t want to let him go, but I deserve a man who desires me.

Answer #1

Going though an experience like that for a guy is hard and even harder that he wasn’t able to hadle the problem on his own. those things combined just fill your mind and sex is last thing on your mind. he loves you still and he will start having sex with you again all you cal do is comfort him as much as you can and be ready to listen if he wants to talk about somthing.

Answer #2

The fact that you never fight concerns me, meaning you have no open communication becos every couple fights, if you dont fight once in a while its not healthy. There is something def wrong with the relationship and you need to work out what that is.

Answer #3

I feel that if all of a sudden the sex isnt there like it used to be, something just isnt right. I mean, you used to have alot of it, now he says that sex just isnt that important to him….How does someone just change overnight? You need to dig deeper, like maybe following him for awhile just to rule out cheating!

Answer #4

He could be depressed….he loves you but the depression had taken his sex drive…I would seek some medical help if you know nothing else is going on behind your back… the dui and jail may have made him feel very low and he feels he has failed some how? good luck!

Answer #5

may he is bi/has another lover/but i felt the way u do i would leave/maybe he just wants to be friends only.

Answer #6

You are exactly right, you do deserve a man that desires you. I’ve always been lead to believe that if sex was going on at one point in time and then suddenly stops, then there is another person. Maybe I’m wrong though, you say that he’s told you he wants to be with you for the rest of his life and he very well might. But I even find it odd for a man to just not want to have sex anymore. I’d be doing some investigating if I were you.
