Has anything happened that was on friday the 13th?

Last year in July, the 13th fell on a Friday and that was the worst day of my family’s life.

Very early in the morning someone knocked on our door (we live in a very old cottage on Dartmoor in England) and it was the police, they had a warrant to arrest my father. A policewoman woke me up as I hadn’t realised people were in the house as I am deaf. That scared me because I am always disorientated in the mornings. She explained to me what had happened. My father was arrested in connection with child pornography (which he was innocent for). I wasn’t allowed a shower but I had to strip off and get dressed with the woman in the room. Me being me, I got tempermental and nasty at her.

Dad was taken to the station but I had to stay strong for my mum who was crying because she didn’t know what to do, she was numb. About 12 YOUNG MALE police officers were rummaging through the house, my room, my drawers, my privacy as well as parent’s room etc. Of course, they couldn’t find anything but did take my dad’s guns away which he DOES have a license for. They brought in a social worker to ask me if he had done anything to me etc but they kept twisting my words and even worse, they didn’t have an interpreter on call for me which they should’ve done.

They left about 11am, but my father wasn’t released until 5pm. He was put on bail which he had to wait an agonising 9 months for. AND he was found not guilty!! So it was a waste of time. It was a virus called “gnutella” or something similar that had been going round and MIGHT had caught our old modem.

THAT… was a Friday the 13th horror for me.
