How can I make up a beat if I dont have a guitar and just a keyboard for pop/rock music?

there are loads of ways. You could play chords on the piano. The first example that comes to mind is the song ‘it must be love’ by Madness. (follow this link if you dont know the song http://search.playlist.com/tracks/it%20must%20be%20love )
