How can I get my mum to let me go to this under 18 clubs thing?

Basically there’s this place just across the road from my dads and it’s doin a rave specially for year 10s (that’s what year I’m in) but my mum probally won’t let me go. Most of my friend are going and it’s during the school holidays. Any peruasion tips? By the way, I don’t care I you think I’m too young. Don’t post any answers like that.

Answer #3

What were her reasons for not letting you go? Ask to sit down and talk with her and say for example, if you do lots of extra chores up until the rave or if you paid for yourself and made sure you had a lift home etc.

Answer #4

Your mom has every right to not let you go. Underage clubs are always filled with dr.ugs. Since no alcohol is served kids find other things to bring in. Also, do you any idea what a rave is and what types of people attend them? Raving is a dr.ug culture, mainly xtc. If my child asked to go to a rave or underage club i wouldnt allow them to either.

Answer #7

I live in England too and those Under 18 raves were quite fun when I was younger. However, the ones I used to go to were 16 + but seeing as it’s only for year 10’s then I guess it would be ok although older people will be there.

Listen to her reasoning for you not going. She may be talking sense. But, if you really feel the urge to experience it then explain that you want to prove that you’re mature enough to go. Let her know where it is and your arrangements and what time you’ll be home. Let her know that you will text her before and after the club and when you’re home and she’s got nothing to worry about.

Answer #8

You could sit them down and explain that it’s only for people your age. Tell her the security that will be put in place to discourage older teens to the party, and make sure she knows it’s an alcohol free event.
