Can I move out in Texas before I'm 18?

I will be turning 18 in roughly 2 months. But I want to move out of my parents house now. The family that I am planning on living with is moving in a week or so. In Texas is there any way I can move out with or without having the cops called on me and not have any trouble come to me or the family I plan to stay with.

A quick response would be greatly appreciated!

YEAH YOU CAN GET IN a lot OF TROUBLE CAUSE YOUR STILL A MINOR, THEY WOULD CONSIDER YOU A RUN AWAY, WHAT’S THE HURRY YOU CAN’T WAIT TILL YOU TURN 18? IS LIFE THAT BAD AT HOME?

Answer #2

yes I know that. but I wont be 18 for a couple months. would the cops prosecute still if I was ALMOST 18 just not quite.

Answer #3

its really not bad at all. im just sick of my bitc*y step-mom and my dad breathing down my neck. I know it sounds stupid. there are SO many people out there with ACTUAL problems. I just want to be my own person. and live with people that I … like lol … I don’t know

and they are moving in a week which is the ONLY reason why I was wanting to move now instead of in a couple months.

Answer #4

have you talked to your rents about it?

Answer #5

WHY WOULD YOU GET IN TROUBLE? ONCE YOU ARE 1 8 YOU ARE CONSIDER A ADULT, THEIRS NOTHING THAT YOUR MOMS OR POPS CAN SAY.

Answer #6

no. I know this sounds cliche … but they wouldnt understand

my dad is pretty laid back with some things … but my step-mom “owns” him … so anything SHE says he does its stupid … I have a mom … so I dont need her opinion …

but no … I cant talk to my dad about it …
