Move to England? Abusive parent?

I have a friend online who lives in England. I have a lot of problems at home with my mom and such, and now things are getting really hard. I might have to go to juvie for truancy, my mom beats me, and we have court soon for that because I called the police on her because things got way out of hand. The reason I mentioned my friend in England is because I want to go move in with him. I’m 16 years old, and he’s kidding about “adopting” me, but I was curious as to like…how could I make this happen? Is stuff like that even possible? Don’t hold back answers because you think I’ll do it or you think it would be a wrong decision, I’m just wondering if people actually do that and if it’s ya know..possible. I would never actually go through with it, considering my mom would probably beat me to a pulp if I mentioned something like that…

Your getting the police involved which is a great thing. Hopefully you Mum will come to her senses and realise what she is doing is wrong. Moving country is a very big decision. have you not got any family in the same country? You could stay with them for a few weeks if you need a bit of an escape. Moving that far away from your home, your friends, your family and you livleyhood will really shake you up. have you even met this person in England? If not and it is purely an Internet friendship then I would definalty say no. You don’t know them or there background. Have you ever thought about a councillor? You can get referred to one via your doctor and it really does help to talk about your problems.
