How do i become motivated to study?

My marks have REEEAAAALLLY dropped. Today i found out that i scored a 16 out of 100 for one my maths exam (math has always been my weakest subject). My older brother was kind of a sucky student when he was in high school like me, but he wasn’t THIS bad. He’s really smart now, and is always getting high distinctions for his exams and stuff (he’s taking a degree in geomatics, welp!). You see, my mum always think i can do it, actually i know i can do it too, i mean this is the year i started failing miserably, but the thing is i don’t really care. I’m more interested in artsy fartsy stuff but the subjects i take are all sciency. Like everytime i feel really dumb i just give up and start drawing or something. I have one more year in high school and i just really want to ace my exams. How do i revise? How many subjects in a day should i revise? How long should i study daily? The only free time i have are at night (on weekdays) and fridays and sundays. I would appreciate it if you help me, thank you!

Relax, listen to music, and think of how good grades will make your parents proud of you. But think how good it’ll make you feel the most!!

Answer #2

You can study in different ways, sometimes you can make like colourful sheets and decorate them with like brainstorms and other various methods, thats what i do and i get really into it

Answer #3

the thing that motivated me the most back in school was because i am scared of failing and on certain subjects, i want an A or to have higher grades than my classmates. being competitive helps.

Answer #4

You got to figure out why you don’t care…why the lack of inspiration. That’s where the problem lies. How can you plant inspiration in apathy? Fear will do it….get those grades up, so you can move on in school and DO the artsy fartsy stuff you like to do. You’re going to have to get good grades in EVERYTHING to further your education, regardless where you interests lie.
