Mom, I'm gay.

How should I tell my very conservative mother that I’m a lesbian?

Answer #1

This depends on a 1000 things. How old are you. If she kicks you out, do you have a place to live. Do you have a support system. How conservative is she. I know, life would be so great if our parents just accepted us for who we were. But life is complicated. You need to look at the cost and benefits and decide for yourself.

Answer #2

it’s a very tough subject, especially for a parent.

sit her down and explain to her that girls make you happy, and there’s not really much you can do.

dont feel ashamed (:

I’m still dealing with my mother..it takes time but stay posiitve.

Answer #3

Just tell her. Say mom I love you and would never want to do anything to hurt you but this is how it is. And just tell her. Tell her you know it isnt what she believes and that you are sorry if you disappointed her but you wanted her to know. Tell her she cant change who you are so please not to try. Tell her you want her support and that you know it may take time but you hope that one day she can love you for who you are. PLEASE let me know how it goes.

Answer #4
