how do i get my mom to let me collect knives?

Answer #1

It’s not safe, she won’t approve. If you want to collect knives that badly then move out, then collect them.

Answer #2

You dont…at age 13, you shouldn’t be collecting any sort of weapons period!

Collect baseball cards, coins, stamps, xbox games or w00tever…but not weapons or firearms! I mean seriously…try to think about it if the rolls were reversed, you waited for years to have a child then at a certain age they want to do something that can affect their lives & influence them in a bad way for their future…would you still even remotely consider allowing your child who is 13 collect something like weapons or firearms, even as a collection?! I mean if you were 21 & decided to make that collection…by all means but at 13…I think not!

Answer #3

OMFG… he is 13…for pete’s sake…you really think moving out to collect weapons is a smart move for a 13 year old?! ugh!!!

Answer #4

Okay, my bad… I didn’t know he was 13, I DID say it wasn’t safe. It’s a stupid idea, It’s not like I’M the one wanting to collect knives is it?! Calm down!

Answer #5

i understand that you said it was not safe…but to suggest moving out of one’s home to be able to collect weapons…it just kills me that people see that being ok…regardless of the fact that he is 13…even at 16 i would say it was a bad move…collecting weapons is something that needs to be done with extreme caution…and if your under age and giving out that kind of advice it makes me wonder about things…kids giving other kids really bad advice on how to be careless! Did you ever stop for a second to think how that person’s parents or family would feel if he left home regardless of age to collect weapons?!
All i am saying is to really think before you give someone advice like that check the age of that person then think about what would be the best advice to give on the matter. That is all I am trying to say here! i am calm…just upsets me to read that kind of stuff for a kid to another kid! Sorry but yes “16” is still a kid in my book! :)

Answer #6

I meant when he is roughly 20, that he should move out and collect them, yes with caution. I think you can collect knives, but it’s a very stupid idea. I don’t know if it is legal in Lebanon or anything but still, it’s a stupid idea. Please, don’t call me a kid and please, stop saying i’m giving careless advice because it makes me feel bad that i’m trying to give advice and you just bust into the scene and say i’m a kid and that I basically know nothing. It doesn’t matter anymore, you give great advice, I know that but sheesh D:

Answer #7

im not 9. they’d be in a locked case and i actually already have a set of throwing knives and a dagger.

Answer #8

People are overreacting, i’ve been collecting since i was like 9. I have over 100 now, you cant look at it as collecting dangerous weapons of potential bodily harm. Its the same as collecting anything else, if you want something bad enough that you want to have more, different ones, then you just do.. collecting is a very cool hobby that could lead to having a “big find” that makes your collection valued. If you want to really start collecting, then start small. Ask your mom for like a small pocket knife or something around your birthday… once your olde enough, (16 or 18 i think) you will hopefully have a job and can then buy them yourself…knives are cool to collect too…

Answer #9

I don’t see what’s wrong with collecting knives… I collect weapons in general, most of them being blunted though, I have a sword, axes, spear knives etc… Mostly for hobbies though. At thirteen it will be hard to convince your parents, take it slow or wait until your older, do you even have the resources to pay for them yourself?

Answer #10

THANK YOU

Answer #11

yes. dont ask.

Answer #12

awe, i am sorry your feelings were hurt, it wasnt my intention to hurt your feelings, but you do realize the facts of the matter is not that you specifically are a kid…in general anything under the age of 21 to me, as I specifically said “to me” anything under the age of 21 is a kid… at first when you suggested that a 13 year old leave home, you didnt specify when he turned 20…so there was a little misguided info there…cant blame me for reacting that way.

thanks for saying i give good advice, i really say it from my heart because unlike a lot of people, i really do care…so when I say something its not to hurt by any means or intention, its an eye opener for you guys to realize that i mean it from my heart…to protect you. I am 35…and I see you guys as the cutest kids i never had the pleasure of having…so of course sudden maternal instinct to protect by explaining why i feel the way I do…dont take it the wrong way…just realize that it is to protect you by educating you (well not specifically you…but all of you on here! Of all ages…not just those under 21…just as i sometimes need advice too…and take yours into consideration regardless of your age…because it comes from the heart…so it goes both ways…ok, now i am really logging off…yawning & sticky irritated eyes.. night all! ♥)
