Can my mom cancel my driver's license if I am the age of 18?

At 18, she can do nothing…however, your profile states that you are 17, and she can legally have your licence rescinded.

yeah i’m 17 but i turn 18 dec 23 and i wanna move in with my boyfriend whos 20. but my mom wants me here til i graduate. however i dont like her at all and i am tired of dealing with her. and she has threatened to cancel my license when i’m 18 if i move out. shes told me i’m her responsibility til i graduate that if i dont go to school both her and i can get arrested. and she has threatened to send me away to live with my dad if i wanna move out.

No thats impossible so don’t worry about it..although she can probably say you don’t deserve it or do illegal things to police.Just make sure your showing your good judgment and everything by being a good driver and try not to mess up..although your mom is probably doing this out of spight..

most likely it depends on your states law , but probably not beacuse 18 is when your an official adult

That’s not true. What she is saying is only true if you are under 18. After you turn 18, you can legally move out…and she can not call the cops on you, nor can she take your license away. At 18, you are no longer your parents responsibility and you can do what you want.

No..But, please think this out. A year isn’t so long. You will have big expenses with your Senior Year. As long as you at home..your mom will most likely help you out. If you move those expenses become yours. I am sure that you will have to help out with living expenses at you boyfriend’s place too. It costs big bucks to be on your own. Enjoy you Senior Year…you can be a grown-up (adult) the rest of your life!!

yes move in with you boy friend get pregnet, and have him walkout of you rlife and you end up with a child that you have to suport, and you had to drop out of school to have the babby and can’t get back to it. so you end up at meanual jobs becuse no one will hire you. I know a guy that was 17 he was on a Navy ship. he wanted to work on the flight deck in sted of where he was assinged so he spent his own time on the flight deck learning the job. one night jest before taps he was working around some plains. He waas sent to the the line schack a small room on the other side of the ship. He walked across the deck and started down the ladder when he heard a noise, he turned and watch a plain out of control kill 14 of his buddies. he was 17, he worked for me I did not relize his age untill later. Life is hard enough why make it harder for yourself, bite the bullit and stick in there and do what is expected of you and finish your schooling. It is better that way.

my boyfriend isnt like that… he will stick by me he has proposed to me and i will not drop out cause i want better things in life and he wants me to do good.
