NO. Small fish/amphibians cant eat bread as its a carb and it blows them up. I once made the mistake of feeding my pet crab bread when I was little and it blew up like a baloon :(

No I don’t think bread is a good idea. Obviously commercial fish food blends are ideal, but if you’re asking because you’re looking for something around the house to hold them over until you can get to a pet store, try some cooked peas (just the inside they can’t bite through the skin) or lettuce.
