What's better for moisturizing skin?

Regular lotion or aloe vera gel/plant?

Answer #1

Aloe Vera is best if you really have problems with dry skin. But if you have normal skin then just regular lotion is fine

Answer #2

Awesome, I generally don’t have problems with dry skin and just use a regular lotion daily, but I was out in the sun for the past five days and burnt really bad, I noticed aloe vera felt really good on my skin and was just curious.

Answer #3

deff aloe vera. regular lotions supposed to make ur face oily and can cause skin irritation bc its for the tougher, less sensitive parts of your body like your arms and legs so if you try adding that to your face itll be an overkill. not gooood….

Answer #4

Honestly aloe vera has never helped me with dry skin, for some reason it actually drys my skin out and makes me get hives =/ So it varies person to person. Aloe vera is extremely good on sun damaged skin though.

Answer #5

depends on your skin type - oily, dry, combination. Then it depends on sensitivity, age, conditions. Oil of Olay is cheap and effective

Answer #6

The difference bewtween regular lotion and aloe vera, is that lotion tends to moisturize only the first layer of your skin, when you really need the moisture to spread to the lower layers. If you have dry skin I would use Aloe vera, just because of its natural healing, and moisturizing abilities. Never use lotion on your face, because most faces are sensitive, and faces usually have the most vulnerable skin, due to its lack of activity.
