What to put on this mix CD?

I want to make an awesome mix CD for the car. What songs would ya’ll recommend someone who is out of touch with what is popular now? I like 60’s 70’s 80’s 90’s. alternative, classic rock, trip hop, grunge, and I even like the sensitive male singers (john mayer, dave mathews, etc) My favorite band in highschool was The Toadies.

its your OWN MUSIC, how do you not know what to put on a mix cd for the road? what gets you going, or relaxes u. you can’t make a bad mix cd if its your OWN music. heck, make more than just one cd. make as many as you think ull need to get all different kinds of music on there. be creative
