Mirena, the Birth Control.

I’m am considering it, but I would like some comments about it.

I’ve heard it hurts being placed in the cervix, I can deal with that. But anybody who is using it, can you tell at all you have it? Do you have to use condoms, or does the guy still have to pull? Do you like the Mirena?

You ALWAYS have to use condoms even on birth contol because of risk of STD’s, and because any birth control is only 99 percent effective. Also, with mirena, it doesn’t hurt to be put in, although it is uncomfortable. I wouldn’t call it pain though. The only problems I know that my friends have had with it, is that a few of them gained a lot of weight after it was put in. Also, a few of them had problems with bleeding afterwards for a couple of days.
