Are the minutes for a meeting written in the present tense?

Or past tense? And can someone please give me the outline for writing minutes. It is only for a school club. Nothing complicated. Please and thank you.

Answer #1

I suppose one could use the present tense, but I’ve never seen it done. Minutes are written in the past tense.

Answer #2

It’s usually in past tense. For example

You will state the following in it: The date of the meeting What the meeting was about i.e. the topic Who attended the meeting (here you say the names and positions they have in the club i.e. Mr X is the chairman etc. Who voted on certain things, lets say you are voting on a specific decision, you can put the peoples names under a heading.Remember to mention who voted, who didn’t and who abstained
