Are Microsoft Quick Books and First Aid plus CPR good to put on a resume?

Answer #1

Nap, please understand this, it all depends on what you intend on working as…if its in the financial dept(like accounting and stuff) then Quickbooks will def be a plus on your resume, if it is to be a computer tech then they really dont care if you know quickbooks or not because it has no relevance to what you will be doing. First thing my dear you need to seriouly think about what you are passionate about. Is it computers or helping people in some financial aid office or stuff of that sort. You seem to be jumping from one subject to another simply worrying about what it might or might not do for your resume.
Focus on your GED, then worry about what it is you are passionate about if it is in the computer world then look up the things you can add to your resume that will help you get that job…like A+ & a more technical background…if you want to work in computer graphics/designing like websites & stuff like that then there are programs that can help you succeed in your job like knowing the latest photoshop, flash, Html & java… Now if you want to do other stuff like networking & stuff that deal with internet security then you need to take classes that will help in other subjects like mcse & all sorts of other programs that will help you become an IT man. There are so many to choose from once you are done making up your mind & completing the course, that is what will be added to your resume! If you want to be a medic then CPR is something you need to know, but if you will want to be an accountant & deal with numbers, CPR/ first aid, will not help on your resume…it will help general knowledge…but will not be the thing that says ok, he has cpr/first aid training lets take him…catch my drift!

Hope this helps!
