Michael jackson being white..

okay, why did he become white? I’ve heard a bunch of different stories, and to me if he changed it himself to me that would seem like he didnt respect him and his family that much…

there are two things that are being said he has a rare skin conditon that slowly turned his skin white (I read an article a few years aho about another black man who had it) and that he was bleaching his skin so he ddnt look like his father, who used to ht him and wouldnt let him have a childhod or have fun because he always had to work and practice singing

michael jackson, chance his skin color because, he got problem with it, and the only way, he can get, away from it is chancing his skin color and he did. okay… Do you have another question about him… :-)

he had a skin disease that made his enigma turn white(his skin cells turned white!)

He didnt change his self white because he wanted too he had to, he was suffering from some type of skin disease that was drastically changing his skin tone so he just decided that it was better to do it that way so really he had no chose.

In reference to jazlovestoskate’s answer, I do not believe that it was to look different to his father. In interviews, Michael claimed to be very proud of his African-American heritage.
