Menonite?

What are the beliefs of those who are Menonite?

I just found out a new family moved into the village and they are Menonite, so I’m wondering what kinds of traditions they observe and their beliefs. It would greatly help me welcome them into our village.

Oh my gosh! The Mennonites are so fascinating, I love how they make their own clothing and everything. If you have a chance to ever go to a Mennonite village I highly recommend it because you’ll learn a lot. I have met some when I went on a trip and you realize how much electricity effects your life and the things you’d have to do without it. There are some Mennonite supermarkets you can go to, I always adore the little girls dressed in their home sewn dresses with their little bonnets on their heads. It’s amazing how they still use the horse and carriage, live off their own crops only, hand wash all their stuff, make their own clothing, etc. It’s just all so cool and amazing to see and learn about. I’m not aware of the traditions and beliefs but here is some information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mennonites

Well in Lancaster, Pa. where I grew up there was a lot of both menonite and amish. I know they are very religious people. They do not work on Sunday, this is the seventh day of resting. No pictures of them should ever be taken of them without asking. Drive Black colored Vehicles. Very close with there family. Use everthing they raise, grow, or kill. Hard workers. Make own clothes. I don’t think they listen to radio or Tv but that might be the Amish. I would introduce yourself and get a feel for who they are. A couple of years ago we had a bad shooting at one of the Local Amish school house’s very sad. It happened just outside of Myerstown, Pa. They all came together to help eachother. They are a very strong Community.
