Are there any medical conditions that could affect the results of a home pregnancy test?

Women are much more likely to get a false negative pregnancy test rather than a false positive. Its usually caused by the test being taken wrong, a defect in the test itself, or taking the test too soon before your hcg levels are high enough to read on a test. I’ve heard before (not sure how valid it is) that certain types of cancers can cause a false positive or false negative on at home pregnancy test. I would have to research it though…im not sure how valid the site i read it from was.

its is possible , there r many issues in which if u test form men it would show positive … some times it is caused due to a tumor which secrets harmones which increases the hcg levels

As far as I know (and I dont know too much about this subject) hcg can be a cancer marker and it is overexpressed with cancer so it can cause a false positive but I havent heard of a false negative. Cant say for certain though

I did read some anti-histamines can cause false negatives.

Ok I found something! Conditions affecting the liver seem to have an affect. Im wondering now if kidney conditions may also have an affect as this could have an impact on hormone levels in urine.

One more thing - not a medical condition, but sometimes it depends on the form of hcg that is present. There are many different forms, and certain pregnancies may have more of some than others (ie twin pregnancies can alter from single) and a pregnancy test is designed to only detect certain hcg products
