hey, im an experienced past AFJROC cadet. Don’t worry about it, in my opinion, you will have fun. And the leadership experience is great. I was also on the Rifle Drill Team… even more fun. But. in your freshman year, they will teach you how to march, how to properly wear the uniform, etc… if you have any questions, feel free to send me fun mail. I can may have more answers to your questions.

oh yea, hey, you should def try it out girl. Yes the ROTC also holds an annual dance every year. ( Military Ball ). The guys have to wear they’re service dress uniform– - service dress is with the coat and tie.. and the ladies… they get to wear beautiful dresses. Really fun… and its mandatory fun for cadets.

rotc will be good for you. it will help you loose weight and make you stronger as an individual. who cared if people laugh at you while doing pushups, they probably cant do them either.

Wow! We have the same name! Spelled the same and all!

Kristina,

ROTC is very disciplined however, I do not remember them making us to push ups and sit ups or anything like that. Unless you were on the drill team, then all you had to was learn the steps still no push ups. They may have used as a punishment for not standing up straight or not following directions. If you follow directions you should do just fine! If you are not to excited about it… then get out of it. I know you said you couldn’t , but you may want to reconsider it before doing something you really do NOT want to do!
