help in math pleeease :)

hey, can someone help me solve these, I don’t know why but I cant get the right answer when I verify them. so, if you can, can you show me the steps so next time I can get them? thanks a ton!

x/4 = 1/9(x-2) these are fractions ( x/4 & 1/9 )

&

7+(4x-5)/3= (16x+4)/7 <– the total part in the brackets are over 3 and 7.

Answer #1

ok im sorry.. I tried my best.. but I didnt get it.. I havent even learned that yet =[

Answer #2

ARE you SOLVING FOR X?

Answer #3

The second one 7+[(4x-5)/3] = (16x+4)/7 you need to get rid of the fractions. Multiply both sides by one of the denominators, then multiply both sides by the other. Then simplify the equation, and x equals a whole integer. Try it a bit. I will be back to help in 10 min. if you ask.

Answer #4

7+[(4x-5)/3] = (16x+4)/7 multiply through by 7 49 +(7)[(4x-5)/3] = (16x+4) now by 3 (49)(3) + [7(4x-5)] = (3)(16x+4) 147 + [28x - 35] = 48x + 12 147 + 28x - 35 = 48x + 12 112 + 28x = 48x +12 now isolate x on one side of the equation 112 = 20x + 12 subtract 12 from both sides 100 = 20x QED 5 = x or x = 5

Good night and Good Luck!!

Answer #5

yeah

Answer #6

Hello?

The first one (if I understand how you wrote it) is easier to solve, but the answer is a negative improper fraction.
