Maternty leave ??

(you might have seen my other question about a pregnancy scare and just wanted to find some things out before I go to the doctors), im 16 and doing an apprenticship with toni&guy, but does anyone know about maternity leave for apprentices under 18, if they even get any etc ?? Thanks

I’m not sure about under 18’s. My friend has an apprenticeship at a local hairdressers and she had her baby girl at the start of April and shes been allowed maternity leave but she was 18. Are you intending to keep the baby if you are pregnant? Because that is a huge choice to make at 16, would you not rather finish your apprenticship and be a qualifed hairdresser to have a proper income comming in before you have a child? Because once you’ve had it, it’s here for life and you’d have to pay for living expenses and child care off your apprenticship money?
