It varies. According to Dr. Drew, if you are a heavy habitual user, you might have levels too low for the test after about 4 weeks, BUT it might take as long as 6 weeks. If you are a very light smoker, it could be OK in 4-5 days.

The above is if it is a urine test. Hair tests can detect it much longer. (Your head hair grows 0.5 inches a month, so you do the math. The part of the hair that forms while the drug is in your system will show a trace.)

What you do not want to do is fast or exercise to lose weight in the week before the test. That will metabolize fat, which could release any THC stored there.

You might want to get off pot. More and more work places are going for the unannounced random testing. My place already has them, and a guy got fired three months ago for failing the test.

If you won’t have enough time to clean up your self, my girlfreind used a product called rescue cleanse from clear choice, which helped her pass her test, but she called the company first to ask some questions. If you’re a regular user you’re already screwed because it can take up to 4 months to completely clear if you smoke it often. If you barley ever smoke it, it usually takes 10-30 days.
