How does the male reproductive system of a dog differ to a cat's?

Answer #1

I don’t think they differ

Answer #2

In the dog the pns faces forward like most animals but has a bulbous section near the head that swells during c*pulation locking the male and female together for a while afterwards. In the cat it faces backward and there is a ‘star’ shaped appendage in the vicinity of the head. The male cat has to wrap his hips under and forward to copulate causing friction and irritation for the female, and this friction and irritation causes an egg to be released for fertilization (spontaneous ovulation).
