Making A Band

Right, making a band isnt just a walk in the park. It is hard you have to be different and you have to stay commited to being in the band. you have to be a serious band, yet still have fun while your doing this. you have to start off with covers and you DONT and I repeat DONT go behind other band members backs. You have to have all the band members and they should be talented. They should be people you know and trust and you have to make a band page. You have to rewlate to other people and ask what people want in a song. You’r songs have to be great and have a catchy beat and if no one likes it, you NEVER give up. you STAY commited and you have to have a place to practise. try and do as much practise as you possibly can and try and find out if there are any local clubs and gig places where your band can play. but remember, before you even TRY for a gig, you have to have about 5 or 6 or even more songs and you have to make sure you practise enough so people will like you and your band. find a great name for your band, get a logo and your on your way to sucess! Make sure your mates come to the gigs also, but practise practise practise! It doesnt matter where you are when your starting a band, just make sure you get bigger in about a year. You don’t get famous over night, yanno! Oh, and when you have perfected a song, record the video and put it on youtube and let the internet help you get fans aswell. I know as I used to be in a band, and the band members didn’t even like me! getting kicked out of the band was an upsetting time and you shouldn’t make the same mistake as my band did.

actually theres a lot of bands out there who like to play those older bands music, or who are inspired by them and have started a tribute band or there own band with a similar style there not very easy to find as most people are writting and playing newer stuff nowdays, but they are out there

it would be best for you to check social networking sites like youtube, myspace and facebook for this you can veiw band profiles and find new bands people and kids have started you can find out if they live close to you, if there looking for new memnbers or a drummer/guitarist, ect or post a blog or something on your profile that your looking to start a band and if anyone interested can write back

You could also advertise on craigslist, which is free to advertise. Longshot, but try it. No one is going to be like the Beatles, or The Doors, or Pink Floyd again.
