Major Sunburn!!!

Okay, my sister has a major sunburn on her legs and it’s almost purple looking… She can’t stand up without her legs feeling like they’re going to split open. She’s being a huge baby and she’s tried putting lotion, Aloe Vera and even spraying it with water… Does anyone know any good ideas that she can do?

Answer #1

take an Epsom salt bath with hot water, and as you sit in it, the water will cool, and as the water turns cold its takes the heat out and the Epsom salt fixes it, makes it feel better

Answer #2

I really disagree with the hot bath. She has a first degree burn, and needs to put her legs in cool water. She should also take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for the pain. Aloe vera or an antibiotic ointment should be used on her skin.

Answer #3

I’ve always just used aloe vera and I put it in the fridge to make it cold and it feels good on the sunburn. But if its so bad that its turning purple then maybe you should take her to the doctor and see what they say about it.

Answer #4

aloe vera aftersun is good

DONT PUT ANYTHING LIKE ICE OR COLD WATER ON IT

I saw a tv programme saying rub olive oil on it and use very hot water and cotton wool to clean it and it will sting a lot but it has worked on me before

also keep her legs elavated

xx

Answer #5

Sit in a HOTT bath for 15 minutes. Its going to hurt like crazy but once shes been sitting for a few minutes she will be ok. Once she is all dried off have her put a thick moisterizing lotion on such as eucerin or vani cream (you can go to walgreens for that)…make sure you put a thick coat on. Whenever I get sun burned at a swim meet this is what I do and it helps A LOT!!!
